Coaching
The guides get you a long way. Coaching is for when you know something is wrong and cannot find it alone, or when you have found it and cannot fix it. Sessions are one-to-one, on Discord, with people who play your game at a high level and can explain why, not just what.
Coaches
Rates are agreed directly with the coach. Nothing is paid through this site. More coaches arrive as game leads take on their hubs.
How it works
Tell us where you are
Game, level, goals and when you can play. Two minutes, no account.
Get matched by hand
A coach who actually plays your game, or a straight answer that nobody does yet.
Train with a plan
Sessions on Discord, built around the same three pillars as the guides.
What a session looks like
Coaches run their own format, but a first session usually runs about an hour and follows this shape. Every session ends with something concrete to do.
Before
You send a demo or recording of a recent match and a short note on what you think the problem is.
The first fifteen minutes
Where you are, what you have tried and what you want from this. Your goals set the session, not a script.
The middle
Review together. Your coach pauses on the moments that matter and shows you what you could not see from inside the round.
The last part
One or two things to work on, a way to practise them, and how you will know they are working.
After
You get the notes. Practise for a week or two, then come back with a new demo.
Who coaching is for
A good fit
- You have hit a wall and honest review has not found the leak.
- Your trainer scores climb and your rank does not.
- You play well in scrims and badly in ranked, or the other way round.
- You want a plan and a second pair of eyes, not a pep talk.
Not yet
- You are new to the game. Play, read the beginner guides, and come back with something to work on.
- You want someone to confirm that your teammates are the problem.
- You are looking for an aim-trainer routine. Voltaic does that better than we could.
Before your first session
Have these ready and the first session starts on the problem instead of on the setup.
- A demo or recording of a recent match you lost. Losses teach more.
- Your rank, hours played and how long you have been at this level.
- Your settings: sensitivity, DPI, resolution and crosshair.
- One sentence on what you think is wrong. You might be right.
- A Discord account and a working microphone.
Questions
- Do I need a minimum rank?
- No. Coaching works at every level. What matters is that you have played enough to have a pattern to look at, which usually means a few dozen matches and at least one honest review of your own.
- What does it cost?
- Each coach sets their own rate and agrees it with you before anything is booked. Nothing is paid through this site.
- Is my game covered?
- Live hubs have coaches. For a coming-soon game, send the request anyway. You get a straight answer about who, if anyone, can help, and the general guides apply in the meantime.
- What happens after I send the request?
- A person reads it and matches you by hand, then replies by email or on Discord. Give it a day or two.
- How many sessions do I need?
- Most players get the most out of one session, two weeks of practice, then a second. A coach who wants to book you in every week forever is not a coach we want here.
- What timezone are coaches in?
- Put yours in the request. Each coach lists their availability when they reply and sessions get scheduled to suit both.
- Do you coach teams?
- Ask in the request. It depends on the coach and the game, and you will get a straight answer.
